Hussain came to visit Deyn in Brooklyn NYC , and the temptation was too great to take it back to the old school playing in the sand and skimming stones on the water front in Williamsburg!

I WANT TO BREAK FREE

Photographs taken at the Mirabel exhibition in Manchester of a HUSSAINDEYN installation, this piece is a comment on conformity and conflict between the self and the perceived self.

NEW WORK PRODUCED AT MIRABEL STUDIOS

HUSSAINDEYN got a chance to show off some new work at a recent exhibition at Mirabel studios in Manchester. The work looks at the notion of confinement and the feeling of being trapped. A kite is used as a metaphor for a free being that is forced to conform to the rules of an unfamiliar environment yet longing to escape. The work was made using photography and finally an interactive installation.

HUSSAINDEYN HIT KOSOVO

HUSSAINDEYN were flat packed, bubble wrapped, sealed, stamped and shipped off to Kosovo this November for their first international exhibition. The exhibition which took place in the Kosovan capital of Prishtina at ExpoArt 40 Gallery saw 13 Manchester based artists exhibit their work in a show which looked at different social realities between the two countries and an exchange of dialogue using art as a narrative. The project is to continue into the new year with a trip over to create new work based on experiences in the city.

CATWALK BABY

HUSSAINDEYN were invited to take part in a charity fashion event for the childrens trust down in LDN. Here are some pictures from the event which took place at the Bloomsbury hotel in October. 

ASLEEP ON THE JOB

HUSSAINDEYN were last seen snoozing around in the studio and generally being very unproductive. Festive merriment and over zealous NYE celebrations were though to be the cause. In the words of dr.me "if not blogging were a crime, we'd be doing time"
